The HSMAI Foundation is very proud to publish this edition of the series of “Leadership Insights” gleaned from HSMAI’s Executive Roundtables. These roundtables bring together top executives in the industry in a non-competitive environment, allowing industry leaders and decision makers an opportunity for a candid conversation. In the interest of lifting the level of expertise and understanding, and contributing to the continued future success of the industry, the HSMAI Foundation Board believes it is crucial to provide the guidance and analysis brought out in these sessions with hospitality executives.
Intermediary distribution channels top the list of trends and challenges on the minds of hotel salespeople, with other top-of-mind issues including the proliferation of electronic requests for proposals and a shortage of sales talent.
