CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT - TWELVE STEP SHORT LIST
Identify a small group of prospective members and leaders who are respected and influential sales and marketing professionals in the market.
Identify key objectives or purpose of the chapter - what are the unique opportunities for the chapter to focus upon in your specific area.
Define your geographic area using state, county, city or zip codes.
Develop a preliminary education program.
Conduct an orientation meeting with a member of the international staff as speaker.
Sign up 25 members!
Identify/confirm founding chapter board members.
Develop a strategic plan.
Determine requirements in the opening of a bank account and, if applicable, necessary organization filing.
Develop chapter by-laws.
Submit signed Chapter Charter agreement.
Upon the mutual acceptance of the your new chapter's Chapter Charter Agreement and Chapter By-Laws, funding commences and you are able to implement your plan of work as an official Chapter of HSMAI's global network.
