RO2Win presents concepts and tactics in an innovative and engaging format, using animations and in-depth interviews with experts. From sales and marketing to the on-property guest experience, RO2Win teaches each and every team member the power of revenue optimization, cross selling and upselling.

RO2Win is a multimedia online course that engages participants with the essential concepts of Revenue Optimization and demonstrates how everyone in a hotel contributes to profitability. It can help anyone in sales & marketing obtain a better understanding of the fundamentals of revenue management. RO2Win can help hotel companies develop their revenue management pipeline, inexpensively introducing high-performing individuals or managers-in-training to the fundamentals of revenue optimization in a self-paced, affordable program that can be used before, during or after other development programs.

The RO2Win certificate course consists of five online modules and a simulation, which puts the course participant in the revenue manager’s seat.  It will take between 9 and 12 hours to complete and offers a certificate of completion, after the successful completion of an exam.

A guided tour of Istanbul's historic Pera Palace hotel in Istanbul

After two and a half years of renovation costing $ 29 million, the five star luxury hotel Pera Palace in Istanbul Turkey opened its doors to guests. This 118 year old property, in the UNESCO world heritage list, was the first luxury hotel in Turkey when it was built in 1895. The new and improved Pera Palace now has 115 rooms including 16 suites, and amenities feature a spa with a traditional Turkish hammam and an indoor swimming pool. The Pera was originally designed by Levantine architect Alexander Vallaury and is a mix of Oriental and Occidental styles. Back in 1895 it was the only other place in the city to boast of a wood and iron elevator and running hot water and electricity other than the Sultan's palaces.

Video: The $11 million Christmas tree at the Emirates Palace Hotel

Abu Dhabi is raising eyebrows and online searches with its $11 million Christmas tree. The fake fir tree is covered in very real gold, diamonds, pearls, and rubies and stands in the lobby of the luxury Emirates Palace hotel. That's the same hotel famous for its vending machine that dispenses gold bars. Stung by criticism of the Christmas tree's bling overload, the Emirates Palace was quick to explain that the gems are on loan from a United Arab Emirates jewelry store and will be returned at end of the holiday season. The stunt began as an attempt to win the \"most-expensively dressed tree\" title in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Some of the biggest bookings in the luxury hotel industry are coming last minute, Jo Vickers, managing director at JV Public Relations told CNBC.
