CHDM Train-the-Trainer Workshop
Tuesday, February 21, 2017 | noon - 4:00 pm
New York Marriott Marquis | New York City
More and more companies are requiring that their ecommerce team members have HSMAI’s Certified Hospitality Digital Marketer (CHDM) certification. Many CHDMs have found great value in participating in a CHDM Review Course prior to taking the exam.
In order to expand access to the CHDM Review Course experience, and reduce preparation costs for companies preparing multiple candidates for the certification, HSMAI is offering, for the first time, a special “Train-the-Trainer” workshop. We’ll prepare you to facilitate the CHDM Review Course – within your company or HSMAI chapter (or geographic area), or for the industry public.
Taught by Holly Zoba, CHDM, SVP of Hospitality Sales for Signature Worldwide, and chair of HSMAI's Digital Marketing Council, the workshop’s focus is to give you a practical, how-to overview for facilitating a high-impact, results-oriented CHDM Review Course. This workshop will ensure that you:
- Understand the background and theory behind the CHDM certification content
- Effectively communicate key messages related to CHDM Review Course material
- Understand and skillfully utilize interactive/experiential delivery techniques
- Feel comfortable managing touchy topics related to course material
- Become thoroughly conversant with the study materials so that you will be able to answer questions with confidence from students prepared to take the exam at the end of a future class.
You do not need to have your CHDM in order to attend this workshop; however, you will need to earn it in order to teach a review course.
The $199 registration fee includes the workshop and lunch.
Register today for this unique “Train-the-Trainer” opportunity. Make the most of your travel, and stay for the HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala (Tuesday, February 21) and Digital Marketing Strategy Conference (Wednesday, February 22).
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations received three weeks prior to the program will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between three and one week out are entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations received within one week will not be refunded, except in the case of a medical emergency. All cancellations must be received in writing. If you have any questions regarding your registration, please contact HSMAI at +1 703.506.3280 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Certified Hospitality Digital Marketer (CHDM) certification program, designed specifically for the hospitality industry, was created to certify candidates who are able to leverage their knowledge of the Internet marketing channel to maximize direct online channel revenues through lead generation, customer engagement and loyalty, online brand awareness and positive product exposure. Upon achieving this certification, you will exhibit expertise in most tactical areas of digital marketing, be proficient in creating basic strategic initiatives, utilize the analytical and management tools necessary to measure and communicate results, and execute and optimize effective digital marketing plans in a hospitality environment.
HSMAI’s face-to-face review course is for candidates pursuing the CHDM. This one-day program is designed to prepare digital marketing professionals for the Certified Hospitality Digital Marketer (CHDM) certification exam.
HSMAI typically offers 3-4 review courses each year that are open to the general public. Hotels and hotel companies may sponsor internal review courses -- and the train-the-trainer workshop will prepare team members to facilitate them.
“The CHDM Review Course was valuable in so many ways. Facilitated by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic Holly Zoba, this course effectively supplemented my own studies for the CHDM. In addition, our time together provided an opportunity for me to meet other professionals in the hospitality digital marketing space and further discuss the important issues that are influencing our work and impacting our industry.” – Stuart Levy, PhD, Professor, George Washington University
