 1. What is my username and password (to log into the HSMAI website)?   

Access to all the resources and information on the HSMAI website is restricted in many areas to just HSMAI members.  In order to view the site with all the member resources, you must log in as an HSMAI Member with your unique username and password.  

Upon your first login to the HSMAI website, your username is your HSMAI member number (find it on the membership card mailed to you, or call 703-506-3280 for assistance).  Your initial password is your last name .  Once you have logged in for the first time, you can change your password in the My HSMAI area.

If you can't remember your password, please use the "Forgot Password" .

 

 2. What is my HSMAI member number?

 

Find your HSMAI member number on the membership card mailed to you, or in the email confirmation you received after joining online or call 703-506-3280 for assistance.

 

3. How do I get my free meeting planner leads?

Through the HSMAI partnership with MeetingPlannerLists.com  all new, renewing or current HSMAI America Region members, with the exception of students and faculty members, are eligible for a free listing of up to 100 meeting planners (with full mailing contact info, email addresses NOT included) annually.  Any contacts ordered over the initial free 100 will receive a 10% discount.

More than 50,000 meeting planner contacts can be segmented by geographic location, meeting location, group size, type of facilities required, and more.

To take advantage of this member benefit:

1. Go to www.MeetingPlannerLists.com, and select Sign In in the upper right corner.

2. Search the database of more than 50,000 qualified meeting planners using your specific criteria.

3. The size of the resulting list will be shown in the "Buy" box.  Change this number to 100 if it is more, or widen your search if it is less then change to 100, and Add to Cart.

4. In the shopping cart, your 100 should show no charge or the discount will be reflected if you have ordered more.

4. How should I update my contact information when I change jobs?

In order to receive all of your member benefits, and the most timely information from HSMAI, please keep your contact information updated – whether it is due to a job change or not.  Go to the "My HSMAI" section of www.hsmai.org to make any updates.

 

5. How much does is HSMAI membership cost?

For residents of North America and all non-European countries, regular membership is $385 per year for Hotel/Associate Members, $415 for Partner/Supplier Members, $70 for students, and $100 for faculty. 

Discounts are available for multiple members from the same company.  After an initial member joins at the regular rate, 2-10 additional individuals can join for only $280 per person for Hotel/Associate Members and $310 for Partner/Supplier Members. All members must be at the same mailing address in order to take advantage of this option. 

HSMAI's Corporate Membership Program offers dues savings and special benefits for organizations that join 11 or more members at the same time. The membership  belongs to the individual ,but payment is make through one organization at one time. Please contact Stacy Gleason for more information at sgleason@hsmai.org.

6. What do I get for my membership?

7. Is there a chapter in my area?

Search the chapter directory to find your HSMAI chapter. Local HSMAI chapter engagement allows  a member the  opportunity to build and enhance local resources and contacts.   Each chapter has a volunteer leadership group, regular educational programs and events. An HSMAI membership allows members to attend any HSMAI programs worldwide at the special member rates.

8. Do my dues include chapter membership?

 

Yes.  Annual dues include membership in your nearest chapter.

9. What professional certifications does HSMAI offer?

Certification gives you not only a personal sense of accomplishment, but serves as leverage in current and future career opportunities.  A certification can be a key differentiator in illustrating your understanding and commitment to an industry or a competency.

10. What are the next dates and exhibitor registration fees for HSMAI's MEET?

As the meeting and event-planning industry's premier show, HSMAI's MEET connects planners with the right resources and suppliers to move their meetings and events forward. HSMAI's MEET hosts meeting planner tradeshows in Chicago at Mid-America in the spring, in California at West in the early summer, and in Washington, DC at National in September.

11. How can I market my company's services or position my company with HSMAI members?

HSMAI offers three categories of partnership and positioning opportunities for companies to be recognized as thought leaders in front of the industry-at-large: Strategy, Content, & Leadership.

Strategy includes face-to-face positioning and networking at HSMAI's signature conferences and events, including the Adrian Awards Gala, Digital Marketing Strategy Conference, Revenue Optimization Conference, local chapter programs, and more.
