Destination Internet Marketing
Two years ago, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) announced formation of the Travel Internet Marketing Organization (TIMO), which presents Internet marketing executives from travel supplier organizations in a special interest group. HSMAI serves as the umbrella organization for TIMO which has already created the Hotel Internet Marketing Committee and the Cruise Internet Marketing Committee.
The mission of the Travel Internet Marketing Organization is to:
* To help travel supplier brands leverage the Internet to maximize profitability, while protecting brand integrity
* Increase awareness of issues, opportunities and trends as it relates to Internet marketing and distribution in the travel and hospitality industry
* Develop and recommend standards and ethical guidelines for the Internet as a marketing medium in the travel and hospitality industry.
Together, HSMAI & DMAI are now looking to form the Destination Internet Marketing Committee. The new committee will be part of TIMO and will co-administered by DMAI and HSMAI. If you are interested in being part of this group, please contact us at info@hsmai.org.
